A Beautiful Sin

A Beautiful Sin

A Poem by Mimi
"

Finally just let the words flow on my laptop for the first time in years. I hope you enjoy. Please leave feedback.

"

My body, limp and flaccid

My heart, dipped in acid

Cracking, breaking

Trembling, shaking

I’m spiraling down…

Down…

Down

Who is this in the mirror

My only biggest fear

I cannot see

I am no longer me

I’m spiraling down…

Down…

Down

Empty and cold

With no one to hold

My eyes, blurring

My mind whirring

I'm spiraling down…

Down…

Down

Just an empty shell

Already going to Hell

I’m giving up, I’m giving in

Suicide, such a beautiful sin

Dear Mimi,

Nice to read you again after so long. Don't stop. Keep writing.

Now technically, this is one of your best pieces. You can see there has been growth in your ability to express yourself and to reach into your emotions and pull them forward. Very nice. Now the topic is one I don't really like, since I hate to hear anyone talk about suicide. I don't think it is a beautiful sin. I only see the desperation and horrors that must have driven someone to these thoughts. That always causes me pain. Still, I understand how this must feel to someone, the just letting go. How about a good sleep instead, though, and then we can wake up in the morning and get to work on all those bad things that put you in this frame of mind.

Nicely done, Mimi. This is a very well written piece. And it's certainly nice to hear from you again.

Very best regards and have a wonderful holiday season.

Rick
