... Of the Snow

... Of the Snow

A Poem by Gossamerwings36
"

Today we had lots of snow, it's the 2nd day of March, Spring it almost here.

"

Walking in the land of Snow
Hold it in my memory
Tomorrow it might fade and Go
Sometimes I wish this was so
But other times
Rather have it melt on my
Tongue and my Nose
Would it be nice if it could be Warm
And not cold
That way we could Savor it
With not Frozen Toes
We could run thought it
Like it was Summer
Roll in the flakes
 Build Snowmen
Sleigh Rides
Could it still feel the same
Or does it have to be Cold
Frozen Flakes of winter's Fold
Brr.. am I getting too Old?
Is this life's horrible Goal?
Where is my child like wonder?
The Savoring of Snow Days?
Yes I think I am getting way too Old
Like your parents always told
Don't Rush, Don't let your Youth be Sold.
Run out, stay out for hours, and play in that Snow.
Get chilled to the bone
Come back home, and let cocoa
Warm that Soul.
That's the Goal.
