History's House

History's House

A Poem by Gossamerwings36
"

I love taking Walks through old Homes, feeling a touch of the Past.

"

Columns are High
Holding up Strength.
Windows are Wide
Spacious
From the Floor to
The Ceiling
A Vision of Grace.
Carpenters Hands
Put in Life
Mind And Time.
History Holds
Many Precious
Moments of Fine.
Love was the
Hearth Here,
A Family
Strong with Roots.
Weather had
A Part Here,
In the Stone
And the Wood.
The Ghosts will
Remain in the
Memories that Last,
In the old
Paintings Framed
From those
Of the Past,
With the Nails
Man Made
In his
Very own Cast.
Eternity's Long Fame
Never to Pass.

This is really beautiful. I too love old homes, and the history behind them....the imagery of your poem made me feel like I was doing just that. Truly enjoyed this read. Look forwward to read more of your writes. Gypsy_Moon
