Ice and Plop

Ice and Plop

A Poem by Gossamerwings36
"

Mornings can be quite dangerous

"

I woke up in the morning
Not knowing what to see
I didn't look out my window
The floor was warm to me
The paper was in the mail box
I figured I'd take a step outside
Only dressed in my Nighty
And my stuffy warm winter Slides
My first step was pretty steady
But oh my second felt a slip
I looked up and what did I see
But a Big White Snowy Drift
Balance isn't my Specialty
Steady am I not
Now I'm looking at it all
Like a very foolish Sot
Over the Evening
The world took on a different Look
One of Glass and Shimmer
One that could give a person a shook
Beauty can be alluring
But not to your feet all the time
If you aren't Very Careful
You can Break your A*s and Hide !
