Christmas Wishes

Christmas Wishes

A Poem by Bexfinch
"

Will two little children get presents from saint nick this year

"

Sparkling gowns and tinsel is how the christmas grows

Rows and rows of flowers and bows all in a line making the christmas fine

A jolly man a ' makin toys for the innocent boys and girls

Two hopeful children placing two carefully writing letters to old Saint nick

Cocoa and cookies on an alabaster tray

Waiting near a warm christmas fire till that fine hour

 They wait

             hour

                  after hour

til all through the house no ones awake not even a mouse

But still no one comes the tree stays bare and empty sadly awaiting for presents to arrive

under the tree.

The sun slowly inches up into the sky ever so slowly for that one llittle house.

Then  theres a thump in the chimney acompanied by a jolly hohoho

From the chimney emerges two dirt sodden boots and a big fire truck red bag.

The cookies dissapear one by one and the presents appear two bytwo under a  more

lively christmas tree

As the sun comes up a jolly man enters his sleigh  and yyells " Merry Christmas to one

and for all " and as he chuckles he observes " to all a good day ! "
