Many of the things we say are bound to catch up with us. Choose your words wisely.
The use of duct tape is for the tangible
It cannot repair torn hearts and pierced dreams
Cannot mend the abstract
Though you can make amends for your actions
The scars will lay embedded in the souls of those whom you sought to destroy
The perpetual pain you inflict on others shall soon taste like acid and will soon burn your tongue and destroy all you've ever dreamed of
And all you've ever built
Those whom you shall have rained down your wrath upon shall revolt
And seek the eye they meant to have and the tooth they meant to save
They will come like knights sent by kings
And take what was taken from them
Take as well the riches you so desperately cling on and will leave you with nothing but broken walls
And dry rivers
Interesting, xFlightless, I like the flow of your words, as my eyes moved across, the screen. At first, I thought it would be like, The RedGreen Show, a sketch TV show, used to be, shown on the CBC, here. Where, a 1001 different usages, for duct tape, are often shown, with disastrous results that leaves you, laughing. But the deeper, I got, the more, it became the sorrows, we suffer, at the hands of others that can't fixed, by a simple application of something, like duct tape. A very interesting choice, as your first poem, to post on the WC.
And yes, welcome to the Café.
