writing Is how I heal

Life is no longer pain 

As I sit in my room alone with my thoughts 

Click clack click clack 

The soothing sound of unyielding grace 

 My heads getting  lighter it was a battle well fought 

Click clack click clack 

I’ve found a new home this is my place

As I sit here and ponder 

...silence…. 

My mind starts to wonder 

All my past actions 

All of my regret 

It’s now nothing but attraction 

I can’t believe I wanted to forget

I Lived in my lies 

I was Lost in my desires 

The time it took me to realize 

This is what life requires

 

As my head fill to the brim 

My hands follow on a whim 

Click clack click clack 

This new found obsession 

Is my greatest salvation 

Click 

Clack 

Click

 clack 

I no longer fight it 

I no longer submit

I’ll let it all flow 

I’ll  let it all show 

For it was not all in vain

This comes across as a work of redemption. The speaker confesses to earlier mistakes but now faces them squarely and is willing to take responsibility. Most importantly, there is no merciless self flaying, only the willingness to let the memories flow without resistance. This is a big step in the healing process.
