Tomorrow's lie

Tomorrow's lie

A Poem by Webster

If tomorrow were not promised, today would be my end
Would I rest quietly, seeing how my life was spent
Eyes half open, my soul to the world closed off
Walking ahead blindly, my life's existence did I dwarf.

I used to thrive, once upon a time
When days not so short, the world seem so sublime
The sun would rise on the brightest night
Now dawn seems so barren, no light in sight.

The sands in this endless desert seem to change
Winds blow by, but everything seems the same
Days of no worries, when flowers would blossom
Have gone and wilted, gone! All but forgotten.

Back to today's fright, of no promise beyond the night
Would you be happy, with my past in your sight
How could I plan out, for that which I don't know
How do I erase today's sorrows, when my past does not let me grow.

About
Do I write to fill a void deep inside, where others can never reach to fill. Only pure emotions flow through my words. I hope I reach out to others who feel the same as in words I write and emotions I.. more..
