Echoes of solace

Echoes of solace

A Poem by Webster

In a life of plenty, yet lost I roam,
Everything surrounds me, but I'm far from home.
Completeness eludes in this vast array,
Each piece fits, yet nothing seems to stay.

In the chaos of desires, where dreams entwine,
One constant whispers, a solace, divine.
Amidst the uncertainty, where paths may roam,
There's an anchor, grounding me, calling me home.

I know my desires, the path is clear,
Yet the finish line dances, forever near.
In the journey's grasp, I reach for the end,
Yet its taste, a fleeting moment, my heart cannot mend.

It's not in the finish line's fleeting embrace,
Nor in the puzzle pieces finding their place.
In the quiet moments, a truth revealed,
A constant presence, a sanctuary, concealed.

Lost in abundance, a paradox of need,
A puzzle unsolved, a soul to feed.
Yearning for wholeness, in this grand design,
I chase the finish line, elusive, divine.

A heartbeat steady, a familiar tone,
In its rhythm, I find where I'm known.
Safe and sound, in its unwavering grace,
This constant, my refuge, my home's embrace.
