Life's despair

Life's despair

A Poem by Webster

In shadows deep, I wander through the night,
A soul adrift, in search of guiding light.
No purpose found, I stumble in despair,
Yet in my heart, I bear a silent prayer.

The world's a labyrinth, a daunting maze,
With endless paths that lead to endless days.
I know not where to turn, which way to go,
But in my steps, a flicker of hope does glow.

Each dawn I rise, uncertain of my quest,
In endless toil, I put my soul to the test.
The weight of doubt, a burden hard to bear,
Yet in my trials, I seek a purpose so rare.

The darkness shrouds the dreams that could ignite,
But still, I chase the stars that shine so bright.
For though I'm lost, I'll never cease to strive,
To find that purpose, help my soul survive.

In this uncertainty, I'll find my way,
A journey through the night into the day.
With shadows deep, I'll keep on pressing through,
In the darkness no sight, yet I'll find what's true.

Beautifully penned stanzas, great flow and rhyme. However dark it gets, keep searching for the light. Never give up. That’s the message that came across here. I felt that heavy shroud here. Pleased I stopped by Webster. All the best.
