Breaking the Silence

Breaking the Silence

A Poem by Webster

The voices, the whispers
Breaking the silence
The glass it fills to the brim
It overflows with quiescence

Hold it back, push it away
The calm sea tumbles in angst
Thrashing the rocks, eroding the shore
A new silence boomerangs

All so silent but yet so disturbing
This new feeling takes a hold
Bring back hustle, the noise and the tustle
That feeling of dread was better than gold

Scatter my mind, wrestle with thoughts
My consciousness wanders, it all but rots

A new calm this seems to be
That homeward feeling I long to see
I welcome that crazy, that buzzing bee
Such a joyous yet melancholic melody.

About
Do I write to fill a void deep inside, where others can never reach to fill. Only pure emotions flow through my words. I hope I reach out to others who feel the same as in words I write and emotions I.. more..
