Rays of Hope

The darkness hides, the light breaks
Dawn hits in, as summer wakes.
The bright blue sky, the sunny rays
Just hits so different in slumber's gaze

The smell of earth, with dew kissed grass
A feeling to behold, as winters' passed.
Sounds of nature, brings joy to these ears
When the harrowing silence took hold these passed years.

Awaiting the brilliance of what lies ahead
A stark difference to that feeling of dread.
