The Ruse

The Ruse

A Poem by Webster

Life moves on so fast
Just like a brisk breeze
A relief alas
On a summers Eve.

Slow down the train
Bring it to a halt
Get some fresh air
Then my mind revolts

The flowers they die
I see them wilt
If I had just passed
Would I have such guilt

The pages start turning
Again I move on
Life's bittersweet moments
Once more pass along

Does the landscape stop moving
Do the windows roll down
Will I ever reflect anything
That isn't a frown

To stop and see
Just stings like a bee
Run right along as I let out a sigh
And the moments just seem to drift on by

Nothing seems right
No matter which i choose
To life's delight
We always just seem to lose

About
Do I write to fill a void deep inside, where others can never reach to fill. Only pure emotions flow through my words. I hope I reach out to others who feel the same as in words I write and emotions I.. more..
