The ugly truth

The ugly truth

A Poem by Webster

Just like cotton candy
As sweet as can be
Yet devoured complete
Not a trace left, none for me.

Be nice, be soft, be humble they say
Get torn, get broke, get thrown away and that's ok.

Hold your head up, hold it high,
Leave them be, and away they all fly.

But then I don't exist,
There's no one left for me,
But be thy humble self,
Someday someone will will set you free.

It sounds as if you are talking about "fair weather friends" or selfish lovers here. Some people are all for themselves, and are not willing to give as much as they take. Sadly, I can identify with this write, as I'm sure many others will be able to do also. Such people, who breeze into our lives and then vanish without even a proper goodbye, are not worth keeping in our hearts or memories.

Do I write to fill a void deep inside, where others can never reach to fill. Only pure emotions flow through my words. I hope I reach out to others who feel the same as in words I write and emotions I.. more..
