The creep of darkness

The creep of darkness

A Poem by Webster

Sadness creeps in slowly
The shadows that followed now live within
The light flickers sometimes, but soon seems to fade
Giving way for the darkness to escape.
Push it down, pull it out
It just sticks to every inch like glue
The more I try, the more it latches on
Leave it be, and it slowly eats away at my soul
Till there is nothing left to light
Nothing left to fuel but darkness

This poem is super good and sad, I love the part where you talk about how the darkness eats at your soul and leaves nothing to light because of how it conveys how twisted the darkness actually is and it does it very well.
