Two Faced Life

Two Faced Life

A Poem by Webster

A storm rides within
Blowing everything around
Lightning blinds me completely
With thunder I can't hear my own sound.
I'm stuck in between worlds
Not knowing which path i should take
Everywhere I look just confuses me
Everything I try makes me feel meek.
Why does this keep happening
I try to stay on path
My legs quiver with fear
Shattering my bones with its wrath.
Pick me up somebody
Help me out someone
I need that warming touch to guide me
I want that hand to be the one

This is an interesting and recurring concept in poetry. Many are the poets who have written similar thoughts. Frost said he had chosen, "the road not taken". Plath believed all roads led to lies and betrayal. Dickinson said she couldn't stop for death but he kindly stopped for her. It's really about the duality of mankind I think, we have such lofty aims but are capable of such mad mongrel behavior that if we were dogs someone would put us down. Even Jesus said something to the effect of Father, forgive them, they have no idea what they are doing. And I'm just as lost and confused as the rest, maybe a bit crazier from trying to sort it all out. This was a good write. I wish for you that warming touch, my friend, that guiding light and tender hand to hold. Bless, F.

You use metaphors here to describe your feelings in a most poetical way. This is the third piece of yours I have read. This is a good poem Webster.
