A Poem by Mike Goodwin
"

Those flashing lights come from everywhere, the way they hit her, I just stop and stare. She's got me lovestoned and I swear she's bad and she knows, I think that she knows.

"
It hurts to run.
And it hurts to stop running.

It hurts to eat.
And it kills to stop eating.

Not being able to see and ending, a respite, a final relief,
Hurts.
But when we are ended we are killed.
And monotonous time is an obvious symbol.

It is obvious in this world we live in.
And its unceasing.
Because if it stopped, it would hurt.
And we would all be dead.

If time is plagued by hurt.
Incessant hurting.
Things incessant are birthed from time.

Time creates hurt.
Intensifies it.
Heals it?
Healing is hurting in this world we live in.
But, not all the time.
Or all the time.

But time is an obvious symbol.
I hate time.
But time is a friend.

Funny how everything falls back on paradoxes.
The obvious symbol that gives me this thought.
This obvious symbol of joy.

Paradoxes are strong man. Oh dear.
"She asked me look, "could this all be so simple?" Simplicity is in your mind. I'll understand if she just walks right out my door, keep my love from inside."

She's got no hope.
No hoooope now now now now now.
