The Fleeting TerrestrialA Poem by Josh ShepherdJust little poen I whipped up just to get something out there.I saw when poor Achilles Hurt his little heel. I was there when Henry Clay Made his fabled deal. I watched as vicious Tried to sack I listened when lamenting Einstein Let out a painful grown. I sighed as mother Had it’s Revolution. I silently listened to When he spoke of Evolution. I watched when Paul McCarthy Sang of I was amazed when Sun-Tzu Saw the Universe in a Grain. I ran with many soldiers When we invaded I looked onward while Ray Charles Did his little dance. I’ve seen the World grow, And I’ve seen history go by To which I can only ask Why, now, should I choose to die? © 2008 Josh ShepherdAuthor's Note
