The Fleeting Terrestrial

The Fleeting Terrestrial

A Poem by Josh Shepherd
"

Just little poen I whipped up just to get something out there.

"

I saw when poor Achilles

            Hurt his little heel.

I was there when Henry Clay

            Made his fabled deal.

I watched as vicious Hannibal

            Tried to sack Rome.

I listened when lamenting Einstein

            Let out a painful grown.

I sighed as mother Russia

            Had it’s Revolution.

 I silently listened to Darwin

            When he spoke of Evolution.

I watched when Paul McCarthy

            Sang of Penny Lane.

I was amazed when Sun-Tzu

Saw the Universe in a Grain.

I ran with many soldiers

            When we invaded France.

I looked onward while Ray Charles

            Did his little dance.

I’ve seen the World grow,

And I’ve seen history go by

To which I can only ask

Why, now, should I choose to die?

Do I like it?
This is awesome! Just as the universe has seen kingfisher eat his own,
an apparatus lies in science, always, we are all part of a food chain- strange- have you heard of a concept called 'black sun'? We get to pass through these sort of secret realms...
you could very well be a token of a part of my mind- I was thinking of similarities today- but I have not myself been able to physically transport myself through other places in a sort of time capsule. This is a very interesting poem- I'm pretty certain it is its very own unique poem in its likeness, and strangely connected to my own thoughts. We should someday if we pass through such portal, elaborate on thoughts for great ideas, you can be the poet and I will have grand eyes & ears.

Thank you.

=)
