Excuse My French

Excuse My French

A Poem by Goodbyeguilt
"

Make of it what you will.

"

It has come to my attention, that swear words are not accepted.
Generally, in my poems, I swear, it's almost come to be expected.
I don't beat around the bush, I speak my mind in whole not part,
I may overuse s**t, f**k and bollox, but they come directly from my heart.

People send me private comments, 'Oh your language is not needed'
I reply with reason, and my thanks are extended.
I like to swear, it's passionate, it helps beat off the blues.
I don't use long intelligent words, because for me they just confuse.

Swearing may very well be the last resort of the inarticulate,
I have reasons for obscene words, just ask and I'll explain it.
I am a working class bint, and f*****g proud.
I swear excessively, and I cuss loud.

I don't agree with using long words in an attempt to impress.
Up tight snobs make me angry - by using swear words I express.
If there is one thing I have learnt - in my 18 years so far.
Is that language isn't really identity, only you know who you are
