A man in the Mirror

A man in the Mirror

A Poem by IntellectualThug
"

Thoughts. Just thoughts.

"

I wake up.

I gaze into my eyes as I’m standing across from myself in the mirror.

I feel and see only as others want me to be.

I look at the detailed features of my face, noticing the pure pores contrasted against the clogged pores, I wonder if I’m a character in my own tragic movie.

Following along an uncontrolled but beautifully designed plot " I don’t know where I’m going.

I’m trying to understand the man staring back at me with the same confused look, I swipe my fingers across the glass as if I could feel him.

Who are we and why are we here?
