Can We Let One Night StandA Poem by John Patrick Robbins AKA GonzoAfter the lights embrace will thoughts dance towards there selected corners and a cab for two. Chase the guilt with a good bottle and some wicked thoughts. Why exist with shackels when freedom is drowning us togather?
In voices and shadows lit. Ants from below and a central parks view. Once more why not put that black dress to such splended use. Show me that side that does even disgust yourself the flaws always charm a warm body and empty soul.
Lines we share like a robots repeat and a child's toy. Why mask it my dear when we always knew it was nothing more. Can we only pretend for the sake of a passion cast lie?.
Kiss goobye your illusions for weve long since cast aside the restrictions my dear. And the view is always better togather.
In passions time and endless forgotten lies . To hell with many while alone we'll despise already it'll be a cold winter and a dam good excuse.
I never judge in walks alone and others shame. Tommorows has it's own ghosts and the skeletons closet is has long since became full. Why can't we exist in the moment only to erase its past?
Maybe a old fools logic has been burried with to many drinks of wine. Why forget what once chased desire I hold no remorse for what I feel. Empty that cell of thought befor you trap yourself in a bullshit cast prison.
Lay in the darkness only to linger in its light.
Sometimes while we melt I gleam the edge of wasted bliss as i often admit. A naked cast a mortal flame. How truley love the view.
Traggic if only we couldnt make one night stand.
