![]() The Marital TangoA Poem by Gregoria Somol Ahmed![]() A humorous take on the ups and downs of marriage, celebrating its quirks and playful moments with a dash of cheeky fun.![]() Marriage, they say, is a dance divine, A waltz of love, with a twist of wine. Two hearts entwined, a lifelong spree, but oh, the quirks "just wait and see! The toothpaste war, a nightly fight, “Who squeezed the tube with all their might?” The thermostat battle, a silent feud, “Too hot! Too cold! You’re being rude!” The snoring symphony fills the air, A midnight concert beyond compare. “Was that a bear?” she asks with dread, “No, just you,” he grins from bed. The kitchen’s a stage for culinary flair, “Who burned the toast? Who left the chair?” Yet amidst the chaos, laughter reigns, for love’s the glue that soothes the pains. The stolen covers, the playful tease, the “I’ll do the dishes” a promise with ease. The eye rolls, the smirks, the knowing glance, Marriage, my friend, is a tango of chance. © 2025 Gregoria Somol AhmedAuthor's Note
