![]() Memo's TaleA Poem by Gregoria Somol Ahmed![]() Amidst challenges and jest, professionalism and respect stand the test.![]() Upon my desk, a memo lay, Its tone quite serious, dour, and gray. A departure, it declared, with formal flair, Leaving us in shock, caught unaware. Our leader's wisdom, his guiding flame, Was now, it seemed, a thing to wane. Faces turned, confusion grew, Whispers spread like morning dew. Tears threatened to fall"though not on the floor, (The janitor, you see, had warned us before). And in the meeting, tensions were rife, As we all pondered our work-life strife. But Friday came, and truth was told, The prank revealed, both brave and bold. “Our team,” he grinned, “don’t fret, don’t sigh, No memo can part us"I’m not saying goodbye!” Laughter erupted, the mood set alight, Though some still muttered, "Not funny"too tight!" But through the jest and gentle tease, Respect for our boss continued to please. A lesson emerged from this playful jest: Even in humor, professionalism is best. So here's to the memo, the laugh, and the lore, A tale of the office we’ll long explore. © 2025 Gregoria Somol AhmedAuthor's Note
