"To All My Beauty Queens with Scars"

"To All My Beauty Queens with Scars"

A Poem by Gregoria Somol Ahmed

To all of you who’ve felt the weight,

The hurt, the shame, the quiet fate,
Behind the laughter, beneath the smile,
I see the pain you’ve carried for miles.

You don’t have to wear the mask so strong,
Pretending all is fine when it feels wrong.

Your pain is real, your hurt is true"
And it's okay to feel it through.

You don’t have to carry this alone,
Though you’ve been brave, you’re not unknown.

Take your time to heal, to breathe,
And know that you can rest, relieve.

You’re allowed to cry, to break apart,
You’re more than the fear that fills your heart.

The world is heavy, but you are light"
And you can shine again, take flight.

It’s okay to be lost, to not have words,
To feel the storm when no one’s heard.

You are strong, but you don’t have to be,
You are allowed to be raw, to simply be.

I’m here, for all the quiet nights,
For every broken, unseen fight.

You don’t have to show the world you’re fine,
When all you need is space, divine.

You are worthy of peace and care,
Of love that’s gentle, always there.

No matter the scars, no matter the pain,
You’re still a treasure, whole again.

You are not alone, my precious ones,
The storm may rage, but the light will come.

Take your time to heal and grow,
And know my love will always flow.

You are loved, you are safe,
You are cherished, and you are brave.

And through it all, you’ll always find,
I’m right here, with an open mind.

Author's Note

Gregoria Somol Ahmed
This poem was written for and because of my beloved nieces, each of you who have faced struggles too heavy for your young hearts to bear. It’s for all of you who carry pain in silence, who smile through the hurt, and who deserve to know how deeply you are loved.

If anyone reading this finds strength in the words, or if it can help someone encourage their loved one, then my heart is full. This is a reminder that no matter what, love and healing are always within reach—and you are never alone.

The more the struggle we distance ourselves from within... it's like war, to summon... but you elegantly evoked the power to rise to see the better you... it's really hard when we are broken, we will be picking only the broken pieces not even knowing that pieces was once an art...

A very well rhymed and reassuring piece here. Does it apply to males also?
