Struggle to Strength

This is a journey in my career life

In the bustling din of plates and clatter,
I learned the art of juggling"tasks that scatter.

Waitress by day, with a heart full of grace,
Yet burdened by duties, lost in the race.

A baby to cradle, a kitchen to aid,
With each passing moment, my spirit was weighed.

Expectations like weights, pressing down on my soul,
Perfection demanded, but I barely felt whole.

Then came the shift, a new chapter unfurled,
An admin assistant in a complex world.

With hands that were calloused and heart deeply scarred,
I stepped through the door, though the path seemed hard.

A child care agency, where whispers of strife,
Lurked in the shadows, causing turmoil in life.

A supervisor’s scorn, an inspector’s cruel reign,
Yet through every struggle, I gathered my strength from the pain.

I prayed for the courage, for wisdom to see,
That beneath all the chaos, there was hope waiting for me.

Then entered a colleague, wise as the moon,
With knowledge and kindness, he’d change my tune.

He stood against storms that my spirit once bore,
Guiding me gently, unlocking the door.

Together we built a foundation so strong,

A haven for children, where all can belong.

From data to leadership, my path redefined,
No longer a pawn, but a voice intertwined.

We thrived in our office, a space of our own,
With transparency guiding, our seeds of trust sown.

So, here’s to the journey, the trials we face,
For every dark moment can lead to a grace.

In the tapestry woven with threads of our plight,
We emerge from the shadows, stepping boldly to light.
