Like Before " Only Better

we touched if only briefly

and once again my heart fell

it's a hard thing to describe

it seemed familiar but yet new

I could feel the love inside me swell

it was just what the doctor prescribed

it is what all caring people

strive to reach in their relationships

comfort and excitement

they seem so hard to find

difficulty communicating equivilent to back flips

or feelings of entrapment

the sad thing about this now

is I know this is only a brief respite

and once again I will feel the loss

maybe it will be better next time

maybe I won't feel so desperate

lie in bed first turn and then toss

I think of myself as a tough guy

I dare you to challange my will

but something here has gone all wrong

I've turned into a whinny whimp

and it was like before only better still

just not ready would be my sad song

This is a wonderful poem Gomer,
I see you have seen the Doctor again, do you think this Doctor would be able to fit me in. lol
Yet another great poem , starts out a little happy, excitment, then little sad again. Thats the ups and downs of life. The rollercoasters of relationships.
