 Guitars and Women

Slender neck, nice rounded bottom, and adjustable knobs,

musical sounds carress your ear, you can make this baby hum

take good care of her, lots of polish, not like unwanted hobs,

protect her from the elements, unless you are realy dumb

got to keep her happy, or the tune will be oh so sour,

the blues will roll right out of her, so sad it will make you weep

if she gets sweaty, from playing hard, rest for half an hour,

if she's screaming way too loud, you'll never be able to sleep

every night before you rest, of her praises you should sing,

this instruction is so important, a very important part

don't strum so very very hard, or you might break a string,

don't ever take her for granted, or you will break her heart

yes, guitars are like women, most beautiful in every way,

they'll be your friend for ever, if you treat them oh so kind

let every word you think, be touched by her hand each day,

and she will reward you, body, soul and mind

I enjoyed how you compared the complexities and simplicities involved in relationships with both guitars, and women, and not just the physical or behavioural attributes of either. Funny, and true. Loved it:)

Wow. This is my favorite of your pieces so far. Very impressive. A very nice comparison. I must say it's sweet yet sexual which seems to be a talent of yours. I am very intrigued by your works. Please feel free to send me more read requests.

Beautifully written, I do like this poem. We should all treat the one we love with this special care as well as our wonderful instruments that create the Music.

Guitars do complain less. I like this poem. Your words are true. We best show appreciation and care for our woman to keep them content. I wish I could play a guitar. A outstanding poem.

haha Nicely done! I never realized the similarities until now! (I actually moved not too long ago from Winter Haven, so, howdy neighbor!)

awww this poem made my day.. it goes well with the song. But woman has one more feature than a guitar: it would fill the fridge and prepare you a nice meal ;) 100p nice rhyme and idea.

During my lifetime I've found guitars to be far more reliable than women on the whole, and they only answer you back when you want them to....!!
This song fits the poem so exactly - it's very cool and makes you think of summer days cruisin' with the top down, blastin' the tunes, as you watch the girls go by "dressed in their summer clothes"... but you'll never "paint it black"...!!
Quality.
