Don't Feel Sorry for Me

I'm not the man I used to be

neither am I the man I hope to be

I have plenty of work to do

but don't feel sorry for me

I've never set any sort of record

I'm just a normal person normally

never have won any super grand prize

but please don't feel sorry for me

I've worked hard all my life

never had anything handed to me

not that I wouldn't take a million bucks

but uh uh don't feel sorry for me

an older couple walking hand in hand

a small child hiding behind a tree

the beautiful one with you right now

why would you feel sorry for me

having been here and seen all I've seen

how much beauty can one man see

sunsets stars moons oceans mountains

no reasons at all to feel sorry for me

ohhh I love this. To see the true worth of the beauty that surrounds us every day. That is what living is all about and what should fill us and make us glad.
