Bodhisattva

in my countdown to extasy

seeking Buddha from on high

working towards my inner freedom

the Pali cannon of days gone by

please take me by the hand

and sparkle like your China

will I find you there

say yes I'll be there Gotama

for though I am young

and subject to my birth

aging illness and sorrow

held tightly against thy girth

I bow my head in honor

reaching so ever higher

my mind of inner peace

is my one and only desire
