Homage to my best friend

My Friend

I have thought about this a lot

there is no reason to pretend

but I miss this special one

the one I call my friend

although she is always there

at least she is in my mind

I miss our conversations

there is no one else I find

who can make me laugh as much

who can fill my heart with love

who challenges my strength and trust

she was sent here from above

she is still not far away

I know she will be there until the end

if I need her and reach out to her

she will always be my friend
