Wind in the Grass

Wind in the Grass

A Poem by Amanda Bokovoy
"

Prompt: Nature Love. Originally written August 9, 2007.

"

Running through a meadow,
two lovers, hand-in hand.
Grass, swaying in the wind.
Laughter...
Running, chasing, stumbling, falling.
More laughter.

Lovers embrace, hidden in the tall blades of grass.
The breeze tosses her golden hair;
her green eyes glitter with delight.
He smiles...
Clouds pass across the sun, the world grows quiet.

A sweet and gentle kiss...

Laying on their backs, the two smile and talk.
Finding shapes in the clouds,
breathing in the scent of sweet grass
and wildflowers.

Peaceful feeling.
Hoping for eternity.
