The Rock of Ages

In the blue mirror 
A great tree stands,
Incandescent,
Green,

But
Turned to
Stone.

Winds whoosh past,
Pleading, urging.
Clouds float over,
Brushing
Softly.

Something's missing -
In the bog,
The life-force
Lies and waits
For the
Hovering

day.

I have changed this many times (last version contained the last line `Lofty leaves', but was not in the original). I'll probably never capture the original feeling behind this :)(:
