Amnesia

Amnesia

A Poem by Llysofar
"

Possibly a slightly unreal view of the power of the sun....

"

Night waves
seeping through
my window.

Love calls,
but so far away from home.

In the stillness
curling flecks of sunlight
fight a losing battle, go to sleep.

I'm alone with silent night,
and need to weep.

Many leagues away
a joyful sun
lights up the day.

People smile
and giggle in the open,
laughing,
gay.

Then the night comes,
and they too are sleeping -
Say goodbye to happy
sunlit gaze.

And tomorrow
We awake with sunshine
To forget the time
of absent rays.

In the stillness
curling flecks of sunlight
fight a losing battle,

This is rather lovely. Thank you.
