Hard Blues
A Poem by Llysofar
This was originally going to be called Hard Black - after a pencil - but a musical theme changed that. It was written on the spur of the moment, with reference to a relationship that ended.
Going through
a hard, blue time.
Words rain
like arrows
and I want to fall.
Why did you this?
And why did I that?
God only knows,
Or the sky
that hears everything.
Don't have the music.
Don't have the key,
just a rusty note
and a lid that's burned into me.
Heroes are waiting
to take up the call,
but all that I crave
is a comfortable wall.

First two lines of second stanza; nice! And the whole bit abou the "key" is clever... beautiful. Well writ.
1. "Aand" should be "And" methinks.
2. Should "Heroes" be "Heros"?
