Eremophobia

Eremophobia

A Poem by Anubis
"

“Absence is a house so vast that inside you will pass through its walls and hang pictures on the air.” ― Pablo Neruda

"
Your captivating composure captured calmness,
and I confess to the crime of courtship
less cooperative than chemically commanded.

This foundation is a fiasco facilitating failure,
which I fret bears my frivolous fingerprints.
The far-reaching firing squad of fate is
flawed and foul in its formulae.

Your visible vacancy in my heart is vexing,
and this vile vanishing act is hardly venerable.
Vigilantly, I vie for the vestiges of your attention,
lest the voracious veiled void of my vulnerability
become visible.

there's alot of exciting word play
and alliteration in this piece
i personally really enjoy that
i think you've done well to capture
the longing of one for another
and the fear of failure to become present to them
it's a struggle many can relate to
if they've ever longed after another
and couldn't find the words
or actions to narrow that chasm
nice work
