Her FootprintA Poem by GoldenWords
I recall,
With a blush vividness, That footprint you left When we linked arms And stepped into the world As one. It was light, Yet firmer than Iron resolve. We could call it a stamp, The way it gracefully Placed the final touch To our passion. It carried our story In its shape, Its depth, Its existence. It spoke of every agony, Sorrow, Tragedy, Yet triumph We found ourselves within Whilst looking For our pieces In the palms of each other. It told of how Time came with a smile, For us to discard Our separation And place the pieces All into one. Yes, I still recall it. In the mind, In the heart, In the very core Of my most humble being, I still feel The footprint, And I marvel At the weight Of it And that is enough To draw the weeping. I love you. © 2014 GoldenWords |
