StreetsA Poem by LifeOrDeathMy second poem, tell me where i can improve
Your streets,
Warm and kind, Many gather from near, Many gather from far, Just to bathe in your luminescent glow... My streets, Dark and volatile, All who gaze into the void turned to dust in the crumbling, Crumbling ruins, As if statues before time, I sit in wait, Hoping to once again see... Your magical glow The sands of time, Soon to forget, Acceptance and content Wash through my soul... As I'm swept away... Without a second look, Your glow remembered, In the hearts of the many, You have touched, Let time stand still, To keep your image As perfect as the day i gazed At you, For it's beauty Brought even my decaying street... A matchstick of hope. My love will escape this dusty tomb, Eternally beating, Eternally hurting, For my heart cries out to you, And it will always cry out, Only for you... For love lost... but not forgotten
