An Ode to Her

An Ode to Her

A Poem by Godisjustanastronaut

Carnations and cliches
She was a cliche in the sense that--
she tried so hard not to be,
What she already was.

She loved carnations because roses were to common, (although carnations are just s****y roses)
She loved brown eyes,
Because everyone wanted blue.

Her heart beat different because she refused to be the same,
And when it all came down to it-
She was the cliche prom queen with dark brown eyes
That had a bouquet of s****y roses,
And a heart murmur.
