Masked

Masked

A Poem by goddest
"

The girl who wears a mask

"
She gets up and gets ready to go out, either to school or to work. She washes her face, brushes her teeth..
Then she puts on her mask.
But Why does she do that?
She does this almost everyday, but why?
Is she embarrassed of her natural beauty?
Does she feel unattractive without it?
Or has society got into her head?
Has society told her this is what she needs to look like?
Is this what she needs to look like in order to get the attention she thrives for?
Or does she put on her makeup for herself?
If so why?
Is she not pleased with her looks?
Is she not pleased with the way God had made her?
She should be gratified with the way she is.
She shouldn't have to change her body to please anyone,
Including own herself.
She should be proud of the person she is.
But once again,
Society has done this to her.
Society has destroyed her.
Society has put all thees pointless, stupid, negative thoughts into her head.
Just like how society has done this to millions and millions of people.
