Here I am

Started 5/3-4/11 Just some deep thoughts rolling around in my head, but I am unable to really point out what they are, thus this poem was created. Any comments welcome/encouraged.

Here I am again, struggling to form the words,

The words caught within my tangled mind,

Words of frustration - denial and betrayal.

Words of confusion.

Love or is it lust?

 

Loneliness somberly creeps in

Clouding the remnants of beauty

Narrowing the already tarnished mind

Diluting as it engulfs everything in its path.

 

Here I am again, struggling to voice the plea

The plea for release

Release from the pain and sorrow

Release from the miserable darkness.

The plea, will there be an answer?

 

Distress resounds

Eclipsing the fragment of hope

Demolishing the already befuddled mind

Pulverizing the already fragile life.

Here I am again, struggling .. again.
