I don't understand

This is another from mibba. I don't understand is a writing format. Did this when I was in 9th grade, the teacher told us to write it like this.

I don’t’ understand
Why so many people have to struggle to make a difference.
Why things have to be so hard.
Why people care so much about what others think.

But most of all
Why people have big hearts but are scared to show it.
Why people just can’t face their fears.
Why someone could be struggling but nobody cares.
Why this world is so full of hatred.

What I understand most is
Why dogs are one of mans best friends.
Why you need God in this world of mess.
Why we need nice people in the world.
Why people need to relax.
