FishingA Poem by Jeremiaanother ode type poem I believe. written in 2009A light breeze floats through my hair Like a bobber floating on the water The fiber glass boat gently rocks back and forth Like a mother coaxing her baby to sleep
The fish taking us for a ride Only little nibbles here and there The little buggers taking all the bait Nothing that would sink it as if it were an anchor
To sit out on a cool summers day enjoying the evening Watching the orange and pink glow as the sun melts away Signaling it is almost time to light the bobbers Is worth the trouble of catching a fish
Even if nothing is caught there is no complete loss We can always retreat to a nice evening bon fire Roast marshmallows and make them into smores Then to retire into the night to sleep away the wares of the day. © 2013 Jeremia |
