Foundation on which I stand

I will trust in the Lord, in whom I put my faith

No matter what is taken from me

Oh Lord I still have you.

 

Though the world may wage war against my body

My soul will remain strong

For my fortress is in you, in you my strong tower

 

When the sun shines over that tower, all golden and bright

May it bring me word of your unfailing love

And renew my youth like the eagles

 

May the golden rays of your glory shine through

And give me life in your ways

Lighting my path for all eternity

 

Though the world may wage war

My spirit will stand strong

For you are my rock and redeemer

My foundation on which I stand
