I still remember that night

That night you screamed my name

As I ran out of the house

It was pretty much the only thing you said

 

Your voice still echoes through my head

You didn’t acknowledge me further

You didn’t run after me

You left me in my darkness

In an hour that I needed you

You weren’t there.

 

I still remember the feelings inside

Welling up deep inside my chest

As I screamed into the night air

Dread ready to devour my heart

 

Hopelessness and fear filled me

I was losing you

There wasn’t anything I could do

All my efforts were in vain

It just pushed you farther from me

That was not what I wanted

 

I still remember the tears

That flowed down your face

Cutting me deeply, for I hurt you

And I couldn’t take it back

 

I just wanted to see you smile again

To know everything would be alright

Now, seemingly I will never know

Know how much you will grow

Into that beautiful woman I saw you as

I just wish I could

To be a part of your life

Well, in the way that I did it, I totally failed. If you want to be chased after, I pray it is by someone far wiser than I. Or better yet he does something else I didn't do; cherish every second he has with you and treats it as tho it is his first and only second and your the most awesome girl in the world. I wish like no other I would have done that, because truly every second was a gift.

I'm sure you will. And, I know it isn't one way. But I didn't treat her how I should have. The love being one way was my fault, she loved me, but I was an idiot.
