Let them flow, if flow they must.

Let them flow, if flow they must.

A Poem by Elizabeth

The tears flowing through my eyes,
betray themselves unto the lies.

What was had, it still remains,
though it waits, my efforts vain.
At least give me the dignity;
please talk, talk with me?
The void within my soul
upon a time, was once filled whole,
but the loneliness floods the moors,
floods the heart, distends the core.
Another suitor lies in wait,
what to do, is it my fate?
To wander aimlessly, from soul to soul?
The price of love; an aching pain,
the cause for cries, it is the toll
until my passion begins to wane.
Where to go, and what to do,
I'm so confused, please help me through...

Again, this is a very good poem. I love your diction. Although there have been so many poems of this sort I don't feel like this was clich. I love that about your writing. It always expresses something new even if the central theme is sadness. My favorite lines are,

"The void within my soul
upon a time, was once filled whole,
but the loneliness floods the moors,
floods the heart, distends the core."

I'm a sucker for imagery, and it just so happens you're amazing at it! Thanx for writing Topolino!
