PostmanA Poem by GloriousGuruThe eternal struggle to deliver the mail.
Pointed and sharp she sits proud
Her eyes jaded against the sun but she misses nothing The muscles bristle and twitch beneath her coat A coat of many guises A fierce coat A loving coat A faithful coat Triumphantly she surveys Now she paces, on patrol She senses him draw near HOW DARE HE... The intrusion is personal in only a way she can ever understand Growling, snarling, gnashing of teeth. As quick as it begins it ends He dare not return for he remembers But he will for he has a job to do. And so does she! Same time tomorrow She will be waiting She will always be waiting! © 2016 GloriousGuru |
