Postman

A Poem by GloriousGuru
"

The eternal struggle to deliver the mail.

"
Pointed and sharp she sits proud

Her eyes jaded against the sun but she misses nothing

The muscles bristle and twitch beneath her coat

A coat of many guises

A fierce coat

A loving coat

A faithful coat

Triumphantly she surveys

Now she paces, on patrol

She senses him draw near

HOW DARE HE...

The intrusion is personal in only a way she can ever understand

Growling,snarling, gnashing of teeth.

As quick as it begins it ends

He dare not return for he remembers

But he will for he has a job to do. And so does she!

Same time tomorrow

She will be waiting

She will always be waiting!
