Strawberry Milk

Strawberry Milk

A Poem by Blue_Jazberry
"

Hope you like my tears, they're extra salty.

"
Sipping strawberry milk
Lofi calming my nerves
Expressions smoothed over as if my face is silk
The mask's purpose it still serves

I crumble
A tear escapes
My hands fumble
And milk spills onto old tapes

As the mood shifts
Emotions warping the track
My mask quickly rips
I struggle to piece back

The one thing between calm and emotion
As tears salt my face
I feel as if they could fill an ocean
But still I try to reassemble this delicate lace

Of years worth of practice
To hide every fear
Enveloped in this human cactus
Every suppressed emotion now clear

Hit with the pain of a thousand swords
Drenched in salted flame
As waves of emotion attack in hordes
My mind is anyone's game

Strawberries dot my comforter like freckles
Though no comfort the fabric provides
Little hope in the happy speckles
In the melancholic tides
