Can you breathe?

Toxic fumes reside in you.

Don and clear.

Take away your fear.

Shear away the pain.

Gain control again.

Can you breathe?

Toxic fumes reside in you.

I am boiling; suffocating in this shell.

Spellbound I need a way out of this compound.

Sound comes to pierce my recall.

Fall out of this destructive nature.

Torture your lungs to heed your process.

Access denied at the moment.

Rules of engagement are out the window.

Shadows hover around your soul.

Reap what you sow they say to you.

True nature of who you are in the mirror.

Inferior complex no longer resides.

Besides this is your duty and honor.

Father will forgive your actions.

Destination seeks the truth.

Diluted minds surround this panic.

No, time for picnics lead them to Armageddon.

Can you breathe?

Toxic fumes reside in you.

Don and clear.

Take away your fear.

Shear away the pain.

Gain control again.

Can you breathe?

Toxic fumes reside in you.

A bullet casing is two parts.

Depart one way onto the ground.

Profound meaning hits and spreads.

Lead (Atomic Number 82) kills.

Like a drug induced pill render you hopeless.

Careless in a way not meant to kill.

Spill out of you the true intent.

Bend on being a dummy round.

Found out the wrong way the other day.

A ricochet bounced off - hit me in the eyes.

Sigh of relief birth control glasses save me.

See just find today with my new GI spectacles.

Articles saying we are winning this mother of all wars.

Far away is in the safe zone of human civilization.

Questions and answers only we know the realization.

Flanked by this ground and freedom is a long climb.

Can you breathe?

Toxic fumes reside in you.

Don and clear.

Take away your fear.

Shear away the pain.

Gain control again.

Can you breathe?

Toxic fumes reside in you.

Confusion of war clears again to grasp.

Amass like a congregation of a church.

Perched you focus on the light of day.

Say another imploration for the lost.

Cost nothing to do, yet everyone looks at awe.

Saw another way out of the darkness.

Caress the fulfillment in this justice.

Witness the next wave is coming soon.

Afternoon sunshine is a wasted existence.

Presence of this keeps your reality at check.

Next comes the night to draw you back in.

Sins of a nation, but someone have to win.

Since the time is not yet clear of the danger.

Anger controls a world of ours.

Hours for is the preparation of conflict.

Affix we stand at the ready - only God knows why.

Can you breathe?

Toxic fumes reside in you.

Don and clear.

Take away your fear.

Shear away the pain.

Gain control again.

Can you breathe?

Toxic fumes reside in you.

Author's Note

Glen Yumang Manese
A. k. a. F. A. D. Series IV: Atomic Number 82 © 2014 - is the fourth addition in lyrical verse of my Filipino American Dream Series, which has 7 of 7 verses, a theme and goes from one to the other. This Series deals with a theme about war and other matters, which are reflective throughout the scenes. If you follow along from the first to the last and read each one. The story comes together and you get a feel for the entirety. Of course, this is done in lyrical verse to get the aspect of the read not just with the eyes, but also hear the words for what they are worth. Not one dimensional, but the whole aspect of the Series. The only other attributes missing is the vocals and the musical accompaniment, which, of course, cannot be provided, since that is out of my expertise.

So we are in war now a bomb has a exploded and is killing us from within and out. This is important to me because i have friend who is out at war now and he is in a lot of danger. Family and friends at home don't really know all the details of what really happens in war. The bystanders and children who aren't involved are getting hurt. I wish we didn't have war. but it is here. I am now understanding 'do they know war does not cry' wow this is really touching. Its tugging a tear right now ~

This should be put to music. I enjoyed reading it. The visuals are wonderful and grim. That's a complement, by the way. I prefer a darker aesthetic in what i choose to read.
