I am down to my last meal ready to eat.

Acronym: M.R.E.

All of you nonmilitary types are out there.

Prepare for battle - rattle out uncertainty.

Destiny that is what I want to be.

See my serial numbers are 987-65-432 and 1.

Ground zero is no place to be.

Agree I choose to be here.

Fear is fear I understand now.

How the enemy sees just like me.

Hear me out - there are not going to be no next time.

Once is a nation under God drops down the dime.

Crime must pay for the pride and glory for all.

We all fall down to the reality - we are soldiers.

Orders are orders for the belief of justice for all.

Call me a hero - call me what you may.

My M16 is at the ready.

Today is another sad day for you and me.

Destiny was here yesterday.

Say my last respect to him last night.

Sight for sore eyes sees him go home.

Normally we talk about family and friends.

In the end, I guess they get to talk about you instead.

Said for me to carry on - fond memories never die.

A tear in my eye is a tear in my heart.

Depart is like that - goodbye is not easy.

Security around here is a thin line.

Define as a separation between love and hate.

Date of enlistment September 1 and 7.

Seven minus one is six days before 911.

711 down the corner sound right about now.

How refreshing is an icy cold 40-ounce and a Marlboro.

Skid row does not sound so bad right about now.

Last night was a hell of a gunfight.

Highlight moments war does to you.

True I realized a lot of victims die.

Lie to yourself - deny to yourself.

Another hash mark is on your bookshelf.

Self-control- I got the one who got you.

Know him by the color of his tattoo.

Pursue on just as if Destiny said to you.

Red white and blue is what they taught you.

Black blue and red is bleeding all over you.

No clue as the fog of war resides in you.

Subdue your objective - offensive or defensive.

Positive or negative what is the difference.

Entrance wound is a Purple Heart.

Fought hard for is a Medal of Honor.

Father forgive me - lay me to rest.

Author's Note

Glen Yumang Manese
A. k. a. F. A. D. Series IV: Atomic Number 82 © 2014 - is the fourth addition in lyrical verse of my Filipino American Dream Series, which has 7 of 7 verses, a theme and goes from one to the other. This Series deals with a theme about war and other matters, which are reflective throughout the scenes. If you follow along from the first to the last and read each one. The story comes together and you get a feel for the entirety. Of course, this is done in lyrical verse to get the aspect of the read not just with the eyes, but also hear the words for what they are worth. Not one dimensional, but the whole aspect of the Series. The only other attributes missing is the vocals and the musical accompaniment, which, of course, cannot be provided, since that is out of my expertise.
