Verse 40: Merveille du JourA Chapter by Glen Yumang ManeseMerveille du Jour
Shall I be patient until September? Wait unto October. Gaze as she does of the
lamp’s light. Only for a moment is
night’s wonder. Could syrup on the bark
make for an evening? Wait hours in the
wilderness. Does she see my reply? Never is a dull moment
with her charms. Sit here to join me. Her wings carry away a
sigh of exits. Until we meet again. There are no banquets. Where being on time is a
necessity. Only arrivals make the
event worthwhile.
